The service known as iSearch.com uses semantic technology to connect the myriad of online and offline databases to organize and connect information that creates a compilation of an individual’s profile. The technology utilizes public databases including state and federal records, courthouse transcriptions, and real estate deeds; professional records such as educational and work records; and social networking profiles from major social media hubs.

The output comprises a comprehensive record from current and previous phone numbers and addresses, age, relatives, neighbors, employment and educational histories, interests and activities, email addresses, domain registrations, former and present colleagues and classmates, and screen names for the social networks being used.

The creators of the Intelius’ service say it primarily categorizes data to create panoramic profiles of individuals to verify identities, locate work and academic records for employment purposes, and assists law enforcement organizations to track criminals in local areas.
